What Happens After You Pre-Register
Next steps for prospective ECA CNA students
Thank you for submitting your pre-registration for the Elevate Care Academy CNA program. Pre-registration is the first step in the admissions process and helps us identify students who are interested in joining an upcoming class.
This page explains what happens next, what you should prepare now, and how to stay ready for the next phase of the application process.
Important Note
Pre-registration does not mean full enrollment or final acceptance into the program. Students will be contacted with additional steps, required forms, screenings, and compliance items that must be completed before final admission.
Step 1: Watch for Follow-Up Communication
After pre-registration, ECA will contact prospective students with instructions for the next phase of the application process. This may include admissions forms, screening steps, testing instructions, compliance requirements, payment information, and class updates.
- Check your email regularly
- Watch for messages from Elevate Care Academy
- Respond promptly when documents or instructions are sent
Step 2: Prepare Your Identification Documents
Students should be prepared to present two forms of identification during the admissions or enrollment process.
Identification May Include
- Government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card
- State ID or driver’s license
- Other approved identity documents requested by ECA
These documents help verify identity, protect the integrity of the admissions process, and support compliance requirements connected to training and clinical participation.
Step 3: Be Ready for Academic Readiness Review
Prospective students may be asked to complete a basic admissions review that includes:
- Math assessment
- English comprehension / reading assessment
- Other basic readiness screening if required
Why This Is Important
CNA students must be able to read instructions, understand safety directions, follow written procedures, interpret care information, and handle basic calculations connected to documentation, time, and care tasks. These assessments help determine readiness for success in training.
Step 4: Be Ready for Compliance Requirements
Before students can move fully into the program or clinical phase, required compliance items may need to be completed.
Background Check Consent
Students should expect to sign consent for a background check if required for program participation or clinical placement.
TB Test Results
Students may need to provide current TB test results or other TB-related documentation before clinical participation.
Physical Examination
Students may be required to submit physical examination documentation showing they are medically able to participate in training and clinical activities.
Why These Requirements Matter
These requirements are important because students in CNA training are preparing to work in direct care settings where safety, infection prevention, reliability, and professional responsibility matter.
- Background checks help protect vulnerable care recipients and support clinical-site standards.
- TB testing helps reduce infectious risk in care environments.
- Physical documentation helps confirm that students can safely participate in required training activities.
Step 5: Prepare for Admissions Forms and Agreements
Prospective students should expect to complete additional admissions and enrollment documents during the next phase.
- Student application form
- Enrollment agreement
- Attendance agreement
- Payment agreement if applicable
- Student acknowledgment and compliance forms
Step 6: Be Ready for Tuition and Payment Planning
Students should be prepared to select a payment option once invited into the next stage of enrollment.
Pay in Full
Students may pay the full tuition amount of $1,500.
Weekly Payment Plan
Students may begin with $500 down, followed by 4 weekly Monday payments of $250.
Students should understand that completion documents and certificate release will be tied to both successful program completion and full payment.
Step 7: Stay Ready for Class Launch Information
As the class date approaches, accepted students may receive additional details such as:
- class start date and reporting instructions
- orientation schedule
- required supplies or materials
- dress expectations
- portal access and next-step program instructions
How to Best Prepare Now
- Monitor your email and phone for ECA updates
- Gather your two forms of identification
- Be ready for math and English comprehension assessment
- Prepare for background check consent and health requirements
- Plan financially for tuition and payment selection
- Respond quickly when next-step application materials are released
